We thank thee, O God, for the faith that draws us together in love, not only the love of our families, especially fathers, but a love that passes us from death to new life in Christ. Grant that we may share that faith with gratitude, with humility, and with patience.

Oh God, you are with us today. Keep us from being weighed down by yesterday’s discouragement or misled by tomorrow’s opportunities. You have entrusted this day to us and we would return it to you fulfilled. Amen.
