The Messenger – December 2015

FROM THE PASTOR’S DESK…..

Our Prayer for You This Season,

Father God, Thank You for each and every day You have blessed us here on Franklin Hill. Thank You for Your tender mercies. Thank You for giving us friends and family to share joys and sorrows with. We ask You to bless our friends, relatives, brothers and sisters in Christ and those we care deeply for.

Where there is joy, give them continued joy. Where there is pain or sorrow, give them your peace and mercy. Where there is self-doubt, release a renewed confidence. Where there is need, fulfill their needs. Bless their homes, families, finances, their goings and their comings.

Joe and I want to wish you a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year.

Blessing to you,
Pastor Joe and Bonne

Thank you!

Noel Giving is our Christmas Mission for the Advent Season. All money received will help people in our community. Envelopes are available for this collection, or you can mark your regular envelope to reflect this mission.

Here is an update on our friends in Kenya:

November has been difficult for them. Patricia, their daughter, has been in high school in Nairobi. But because of terrorist attacks, she transferred to a different Catholic school. The transfer caused her to loose a year. So we decided to support her for another year so that she could graduate. We felt that it is important for her to complete her education.

Then, at Silvanus’ home, more trouble. A widow that he took care of, died, leaving several children for Silvanus to be responsible for. With his limited income he has opened his home to the children and he continues to struggle to find enough food to keep everyone fed. He and his wife, Julia, both are dealing with malaria attacks and other health issues.

He always expresses deep appreciation for the help we send them. And he has repeatedly invited anyone from our church, to come and visit his home, family, village.

They always need our support and prayers.
