The Widow’s Offering

21 As Jesus looked up, he saw the rich putting their gifts into the temple treasury. He also saw a poor widow put in two very small copper coins. “Truly I tell you,” he said, “this poor widow has put in more than all the others.

All these people gave their gifts out of their wealth; but she out of her poverty put in all she had to live on.”

  • Today we have Communion. After church, we will gather for fellowship and refreshments in the Community Building.
  • NEEDED: Plastic grocery bags. Please give bags to Bonne Travis. These are used to crochet sleep mats for the homeless.
  • Nov. 9: PW 2:30-4:00 p.m. at the Community Building.
  • Cookies For Veterans: Roxanne Connelly is spearheading this effort. Packing cookies on Nov. 20 at 10:00 a.m. at the Great Bend Community Church. If anyone wants to make cookies, have them at our church on the 19th or take them down to the GBCC before 10:00 a.m. If you know of any military person who would like some Christmas cookies, please let Bonne know.
