Pastor’s Corner
As I was contemplating on what to write for this month’s newsletter, I was brought to the verse found in Galatians 6:9 where the apostle Paul says: “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
We, as a church, have come a long way in many ways this past year. There is still much work to be done, the biggest of which is searching for a new pastor. This process can be very frustrating and laborious and lead to complacency, or even apathy. The apostle Paul here reminds us that “at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
Giving up is not an option, according to Paul, so let’s not grow weary in doing good. Be encouraged that God is faithful to provide at just the right time. His timing may not always be our timing, and most times it’s not. Perseverance requires patience, and waiting for God to lead and direct will lead to blessing.
God Bless,
Pastor Al
Happy Easter! (Yes, it’s still that season!) And happy Mother’s Day to all who share a caring relationship with a mom or mom-figure.
Jesus says, “As the Father has loved me, so I have loved you; abide in my love” (John 15:9, NRSV). One way we do that is to gather in Christian community.
Mother’s Day is happy for many and hard for some. Help me be sensitive to those around me today. Amen.

Our friends in Kenya are very appreciative of all the support they receive from our church. They have been having heavy rains that have closed the roads. “Friendly” rains are most helpful, but this is too much. Their schools will be opening soon . They have 318 students enrolled with 13 volunteer teachers. They do the best that they can with the resources available. By Jim Kessler

As we file past the table on our way to the coffee pot, we will be able to sign each of the cards and Cathe will address the envelopes and mail them.
