July 2026 Messgenger

July 4th commemorates the day in 1776 when our nation declared itself to be an independent nation and signed the Declaration of Independence, stating our determination to become a free country. This day is not a religious holiday, but it is a time to think about all the goodness we have received from God. This year marks 250 year, a truly special year!

Our country and our world are not perfect, but we can be thankful that we have the freedom to pray and we all know prayer is powerful. So remember, reflect, hope and pray.

As we celebrate America’s birthday and our freedom, Give thanks to God, Thank a Veteran, Fly your flag proudly. Freedom comes from truth and in John 8:32 it says “Then you will know truth and the truth will set you free”

I love our country, I love our state, I love our little community on the hill and I love my home. God has provided so much for all of us to enjoy. It’s great to be an American and a child of God!

May we commit our future and our lives to God and His will. “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord. (Psalm 33:12)

Blessings,

Carolyn

America stands on two great pillars — faith and morality. Without these, our foundation crumbles.
—George Washington

Freedom fails when people decide that it is their right to take and not to give.
—Stanley Maxwell

As our nation celebrates Independence Day, let us remember and proclaim that God so loved the whole world that he sent Jesus to share in this life.

The Declaration of Independence … gave liberty not alone to the people of this country, but hope to all the world, for all future time. —Abraham Lincoln

A Refreshing Gift

Oh, how beautiful is the summer night, which is not night, but a sunless, yet unclouded, day, descending upon earth with dews and shadows and refreshing coolness! How beautiful the long mild twilight, which, like a silver clasp, unites today with yesterday!
—Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
